This is a site I often recommend for downloading device drivers:

http://www.driverguide.com/

As for the second part of your question, you will want to go to Microsoft's Windows Update web site (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com) and check for Service Pack 1a.

If you have a computer that does not have internet access you can download the entire SP1a from www.microsoft.com/download

There is no single site to get all the drivers for your hardware.

Well, I take that back, if you are willing to pay for access, www.windrivers.com is an EXCELLENT resource.

With the exception of manufactures that have gone out of business, the BEST place to get drivers is from the actual manufactures support page.

If you need help identifying your hardware, try a system information utility such as Belarc Advisor or Aida32.

http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php

If you are having trouble finding the right links for your hardware, please list what hardware you have, and we can find the links for you.

As a side note on drivers, I use the posted drivers at www.driverguide as a LAST resort when I cannot find the driver from any other source.
Driver Guide is a VERY good source for finding links to the hardware manufactures driver page.

For Windows XP SP1a, try this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=83e4e879-fa3a-48bf-ade5-023443e29d78&DisplayLang=en

Or, to download and save most of the various XP updates, try the Windows Update Catalog page:

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog/en/

They also have Microsoft Certified driver updates.
NOTE: these may not be the latest or "best" driver updates.
