Drop Down Menu in Excel

May I ask someone to provide me on how to make a drop down menu on each cell on Excel with choices such as letters A, B, C, D when click on that drop down menu.

Hoping someone can assist me.

Pick an unused area on your spreadsheet, say cells M1000 to M1003. Enter A,B,C,D in those cells.
Go back to the active area of the worksheet. Choose the cell that you want to use for the drop down list.
On the Menu bar, go to Data>Validation.
On the Settings tab under Allow, choose List.
In the Source box enter =$M$1000:$M$1003
Click OK

You could also just type A,B,C,D in the Source box
