DSL Exchange 2000 Domain Setup

By wd-moore ·
When setting up Exchange Server 2000 in it own domain with an ISP DSL connection (static IP address)provider does the limit of email accounts which is "10" on the ISP(Service Provider) side affect the number of externally accessable email accounts available in Exchange? As I have never set up a domain with this kind of setup before. Where would be a good reference for an overview of the installation process for this kind of installation?

to answer your first question, No, your ISP's limit on email accounts is for their mail server not yours.

for a good reference, I suggest Microsoft Press and obtain the Microsoft Exchange 2000 Self Study Certification Exam 70-224 Book [Hard Cover] for understanding the basics of Exchange Server 2000. Note: the Self Study Exam book is available both new and used at a variety of online certification web sites [Amazon.com & Ebay included].
