Duplicate email ... POP3

I have a user who use pop3 to download email from remote E2K. He is getting duplicate email the last three days from only one sender. Please help how I can take care of this problem.

sounds like you have a 'stuck' email on your mail server. probably a really big file that isn't downloading successfully. the mail client doesn't think it downloaded, doesn't communicate to the mail server 'got it' and so the mail server keeps sending it...i have seen hiccups on the mail server side where many copies actually get created but not high probability this is the problem imho. you can ask call your ISP and decribe the problem and they can clean it out. somebody once suggested i use PINE and clean it out myself but could never figure out how. you could just keep downloading it to see if it finally stops...other idea: it is possible it is a corrupt mailbox on the client side but probably not. which mail client?
