i am about to buy a dvr surveillance system for a bar. i would like to hear from anyone who has set up a digital system (not connected to a pc though) and knows some of the specs for streaming broadcasts over the internet, such as the crucial elements which need to be set up to successfully implement these systems.

thanx alot for the wonderful resources, man. i actually was pressed for time with this install and opted for the "ipcam for idiots" choice. d-link's dcs-1000. onboard web server. not bad, but not enough features for real surveillance. good for thosepay-per-porn sites i'm sure, but this camera package was not meant for surveillance. i will try out these 2 sources on my next install, depending on the budget of my clients of course.
good karma to you, man.
