Dynamically Changing Currencies

I’d like to know if it’s possible within an Excel spreadsheet to say have a check button to select a currency option and then do a vlookup function select a cell and then display it with the appropriate currency symbol.

In other words if I select “dollar” the cells are displayed with the “$” currency symbol but if then want to use a set of Euro tables then the display cell would switch from having the “$” currency symbol to the Euro Symbol.
