By itpreneur ·
I've been reading several other magazines and internet like gartner/ibm. But it seems that there are still unclear pattern whether e-business is the future and what applications will it dictate in the market. What if we try to make it in demographicarea such as Asia, Europe, US? How does this affect others. What do you think is the best approach open source project? What can you propose to develop for the next 5 years?

E-business Trend

I think the concept of e-business has been over hyped. If you look at information technology as a tool and focus on how the tool is applied, you find that the underlying aspects of the tasks have not really changed. The key differences are in the reduction of some inherent barriers - time and distance being the two biggest barriers addressed by technology.

Of course, those barriers worked for legitimate and illegitimate business. Fraud can be accomplished on a greater scale with less timeover greater distances as easily as supply chains. Yet technology is working towards improvements in protecting business from crime as well.

We are seeing the impact of technology on increasing trade across wider geographical areas and the associated interdependence this brings.
