e-mail Origin

By pmfturner ·
Is there any way of determining the whereabouts of the PC from which an e-mail is sent, even if it?s only the country of origin (or country in which the PC was manufactured maybe !) that can be determined ?

Usually in the email header, the IP address is listed from the sending system. Some mail servers strip the header and use the outgoing IP of the server, not the client.
