ECDC-5 won’t work with Win-XP

My Easy CD Creator 5 software worked fine with Windows-98.
When I upgraded to Windows-XP and tried to load ECDC-5, I kept getting install errors.
I downloaded Roxio’s Win-XP patch, but it would not load because it said the ECDC-5 software could not be found.
Does anyone have a solution? Roxio won’t accept support calls without payment of a fee. DUH!!
