I have ?inherited? a PC, which had so many viruses on it, I had no option but to format the C Drive ! XP used to be running on it, but I have now installed Windows 98SE.
I think that I need to install the right driver for the graphics controller, as I am unable to get the settings for the monitor correct ? only 16 colours, and 640 x 480 pixels allowed !
The motherboard is an ECS K7S5A 1.0, and I have tried to download what I think is the appropriate file (K7s5ap10a.exe) from the ECS website. This file unzips to give one file – 5ap730a.BIN. Is this the right file to correct my display ? If so, what should I do with it ? Am I barking up the wrong tree ?
