At our location we have had many problems such as mother boards and monitors burning up,CD roms going bad, hard drives crashing, weird characters loooking like viruses–though with virus scan software, no apparent viruses found. I am wondering if this can be related to fluctuations in the electricity—the local electric company has been out to the site and have monitored dips, spikes and brown outs. Colleagues are skeptical that the electricity fluctuations could be the culprit. Have you had any such experiences as these?
If so, could you please note some of the problems you have seen and what steps you took to deal with theose problems.
