Email Alias resolution

by bspear . Updated 23 years, 7 months ago

I am running Exchange 2000 on Server 2000 with active directory. I have a user using multiple email aliases. When recieving email with the Outlook 2000 client he wants to know what email address a particuler email was sent to. If the address is listed as an SMTP alias address in his exchange properties it is always resloved to jdoe@example.com. It will not say to webmaster@example.com when sent to the webmaster alias. How do I get it to show what address it was originally sent to? Do I have to create a user for each email address and then forward it internally? that seems like a lot of overhead work. Any help is appreciated.
thanks
