I have a very strange problem. I use a Call Accounting software that I schedule daily reports. Upon completion, these reports are saved in a text file and the program automatically emails them to me. I receive the email (in Outlook) with the report name in the body of text, the body says there is an attachment but the attachment does not appear. If I open my email through OWA I receive the email and the attachment. If I run the same scenario and send to my hotmail account the attachment comes through fine. Also, I am able to send emails with attachments from this workstation without a problem. My workstations are running W2K/SP2 and Outlook 2000. I am running Exchange 5.5 with SP4. MIME is set to plain text. Any help is appreciated!

Just a wild stab at this...

Are you saving your text file as a .txt, or are you using another file extension? The Outlook security update, if installed, blocks access to a number of file types. That could explain why the attachment is still thereeven if your can't access it through your regular Outlook client.

File is being saved as a .txt. OWA can view and open the attachement. Outlook does not see the attachement.
