Email format problem

By tpolidora ·
I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this problem I am having when we receive conformation emails from Fed Ex. I get the following message to the administrator mailbox.
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
joesmoe@domain.com charset="us-ascii"
The format of the e-mail address is incorrect. Check the address, look up the recipient in the Address Book, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

if someone knows, please let me know. Can't find much about this problem anywhere as if I am the only one experiencing it.

Thanks

Email format problem

confirmation e-mails from FedEx are showing joesmoe@domain.com (that part is correct) -- you need to figure out where the charset="us-ascii" is coming from if it is appended to that mailto line.

What are you using as your e-mail client? What /where is your server? Are you the only one getting this error (anyone else getting the same error when sending to the same person? What happens if you send e-mail to another person "mary@domain.com" at the same domain? Does Fed-Ex indicate that they did indeed receive the e-mail?

We need a bit more info to respond with potential resolutions.
