Email hanging in Outbox

A new employee here is having problems with her email. Sometimes when she sends an email, it sends, but stays in her outbox. I've researched this some online; The most common response is that the PST file is too large. However, since we started clean PST files for her about 2 weeks ago, there's really not a whole lot yet in her email and her PST file is still under 50mb, so that doesn't appear to be the problem.

I also saw that large attachments could be timing out, so we increased her timeout threshold little by little. It's currently at 4 minutes, but she still has some emails hanging. It appeared, at first, to only be emails with a fairly large PDF attached to it. However, this morning she forwarded me a text-only email and I received it fine and it didn't hang, but a little later this morning she sent a new email with just 2 lines of text to our supervisor and that hung in the outbox.

Anyone have any other ideas? Prior to this, people have been running Outlook on that computer for years without a problem, just with different email addresses and PST files.
