A lot of companies use business accounts in Gmail or have their own (or hosted) Exchange server, and a totally different hoster for their website(s), And private persons without a website can have their own domain for their mail.

So your question only makes sense for a limited group.

Separate email hosting offers better reliability and advanced features, while integrated hosting is cost-effective. Choose based on business needs—separate for scalability, integrated for convenience. Both have pros and cons.

When deciding whether to integrate email hosting with web hosting or keep them separate, it depends on your needs. Integrated hosting is convenient and cost-effective for small businesses or personal websites, as it consolidates services into one provider, but it may come with limitations in storage, security, and scalability.
