email unknown error

Hi
getting the following error from outlook
unknown error 0x8004060c

I cannot now do anything with outlook, delete, send new mail etc. I uploaded all latest patches for office XP proffessional. I am running on windows XP proffessionl SP1. the outlook pst file is just under 2GB in size even after compacting. any help would be appreciated.

Have a look at this first:
You may have either an Offline Folders file (.OST) or a Personal
Folders file (.PST) that has reaced it's storage limits. This article has

What version of outlook are you using?

2 Gigs is about the limit that outlook allows for PST and OST files.

You will need to create a new PST file and move data into it from the 2 gigs you have.

Try and launch outlook with out being connected to the network (offline).

you might have to delete some emails... a pst file can only get as large as 2gb, if you're close then that might be the reason why nothing is working for you.
