Emails disappearing, not coming through

By gralfus ·
We are seeing some emails that are sent from outside our system, they reach us and are processed (received and sent on), but then they never show up in the inbox. I'm not the admin, so I'm short on technical details, but here is what we see (IPs and addresses altered) after I sent a simple text email from outside:

Could be any number of reasons you don't see them. Some being:

It's spam and the gateway is killing it.
It's infected and the gateway is rejecting it.

Have you called the admin and asked why this is happening?

Yes, I'm working with the admin on this. The received and sent shows it didn't get blocked by the firewall and wasn't infected. There were no attachments. Our server received it and allegedly sent it on its way to the inbox, but it never made it.

Is there a polciy on the server that states the user cannot recieve or send email if their mailbox is over a certain size limit?

We still haven't figured it out, but I'm not seeing any more replies. Thanks for trying.

Yes, there is such a policy about mailbox size. However, my mailbox is way below the limit as are others seeing this problem.
