Emulation options in Database

By clieber ·
I have a client that had an inventory tracking program written in some sort of database runnoin on Windows 98. They just moved up to a Windows XP platform and the database doesn't work. It does seem to have a batch file with a TERM= statement in it. What emulation can we use to get the program to display properly?

Emulation options in Database

You would do better to ask that question to the publisher of the software. Without knowing what the software is, any answer we could give you would be pure guess work. It is entirely possible that the software, as it is, is not compatible with WinXP. It could require a patch or even an upgrade.

You might try running the XP Program Compatibility Wizard. This can sometimes get older programs to work properly. For more info on this wizard, in the XP Help and Support Center, run a search on the keywords "compatibility mode."

Hope this helps.
