Enabling root ftp access on RH Linux 6.1

One of the funtions of my linux box is being an ftp server. It is also the firewall for my network. I would like to enable the root user to be able to ftp in. The firewall blocks out ftp access from the internet, so security is not an issue here. I am not sure how to enable root ftp access though. Thanks.

The file /etc/ftpusers lists accounts that are NOT allowed to connect via ftp. “root” and several other system accounts are normally listed here. If you delete or comment out “root” from the list, you should be able to ftp in.
