Endless problems with paragraph numbering, section breaks, etc. at lawfirm

I set styles, then lose them. Lawyers email documents back & forth, import info (formatted) from WestLaw & the web, then give them back to me to format, add page numbers, specific outline paragraph numbering, add a title page (no pg. no.), table of contents (sm. roman num.), table of authorities (sm. rom. num - cont. from TOC) and then the usually-40+ page document (w/regular numbers, but none on the first page), saved in our document manager ... and I usually have about 1/2 hour. They can't be trained. Word has to be trained. Any suggestions? (Btw, I'm using Vista & Word 2007 ... don't see an autoformat turnoff for Normal Style, which creates the subsequent problem of having to recreate all my styles for nearly every document). HELP!
