English/French Spell checking

I have installed both the English (by default) and French spell checking features. On most systems this works just fine, and even reconizes the Lanq and spell checks in the correct lanquage. However I have one workstation, that spell checks in English, andI have to select French, when I do, it reverts back to English after checking just one word in French. ANy ideas?
