Yes. Tell your employer you can provide (them) with answer within 2 weeks.

Spend 1/3 of time gathering information. 1/3 of time screening for value, and 1/3 of time to put together final input to your employer.

Stick with facts. Emphisize key attributes to your specific application (s).

PS: DO NOT FORGET to be #1 for your Family ... <grin>

In short: Your question has no quick answeer. Work for it. Strive to do your best. Enjoy your life.

Consolidating database OBJECTS (or Tables and Fields) requires each Table be unique (ODBC requirement). Make sure each Table ONLY containes stored Facts about I SUBJECT that can be identified by the Table Name, and each record represents a UNIQUE INSTANCE of the Facts you are storing about the subject.

Also if possible give each FIELD a unique name. That will speed programming by eliminating the possibility of programming anything "ambiguous".

Build your empty shell FIRST then copy yourdata into the new structure using "Append", and "Update" action queries or stored procedures. THEN link existing Front-ends to the new back end (Field Names).

Have Fun!
