Entourage – This identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage
If you receive this error, you need to apply all the updates to Office.
If this still does not work try to use the remove tool inside the Microsoft Office 2004 folder.
Inside the folder called Additional Tools you will be able to find the Remove Office folder, then inside that folder you will be able to locate Remove Office tool.
If you still get the prompt for “This identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage”.
Remove the previous database identity by going into your document folder. Open a New Finder Window in the Finder menu. Then go to the Document tab, once in there remove the Microsoft User Data folder and put it in the trash. This will fix your “This identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage”.
