Entry Level Position in IT Service?

Hello, I’m currently a Junior in High School and am looking to go into a field in the IT Service Management industry. I’ve seen what pay is available for manager positions but am confused on what position is available to start out with. Should I find a company that offers a management position and apply for an IT Service Technician to work my way up? All of this is after a theoretical asscociates/bachelor degree in Internet Technology/Computer Science.

I do plan on doing that. Something we were working on in this class I’m taking was learning how to network. If I am able to find a job through my counselor, is it worth it to make sure the job that’s being offered to me has a position higher than my own or is that unrealistic?

Your first job won’t be the highest you’ll ever have, either with the same employer or with another. It’s quite unlikely your first job will be CIO, isn’t it?

Of course! I guess it all just depends on what jobs are available and which open positions separate businesses are in need of. I’ll look into stuff with my counselor and see where I should start. I also plan on job shadowing a local corporation to observe what a real job site is like. Thanks for the help, honestly I’m still just dipping my feet into this being a junior and all.
