If Office works coorectly with everything other than these 3 files, chances are good that they are somehow corrupted.

If these files contain important data, you might want to try opening them with a simple text editor like Notepad. While you will lose formatting, it might allow you to recover the important data. If this doen't work, run a search on Google (www.google.com) using the keywords "word repair." There are many utilities available on the Internet that purport to recover corrupted Word document (some are free, some aren't). There are also several services the claim to recover corrupted Word documents. At least one service (www.repair-word.com) will analyze your file(s) for free and let you know what if anything is recoverable.

Good luck.

Are you using NOVELL?? If so you must install all the patches for the Novell client or you will not be able to open MS office documents using Windows xp.
