Error on Exit in Access 2007

By j.t.c ·
WHenever I exit Access I get the following error.

"Microsoft Office Access has encountered a problem and needs to close."

So far, sending error reports has lead to no useful response from MS.

The database closes fine - it's exiting Access that causes the problem.

Any ideas . . .or any suggestions on how to disable DW20.exe for Access, which seems to be the vehicle for the helpful message?

Have you run diagnostics for the program?

by Mr.Wiz In reply to Error on Exit in Access 2 ...

Click the ball in the upper left hand corner
In the bottom right of the window that opens, click Access Options. Then click Resources button in the window that opens. Click the Diagnose button on the right and see if it can find out what the problem is. You may have to reinstall.

Yes- Diagnostics show no problems

by j.t.c In reply to Have you run diagnostics ...

Yes, I've done that. Diagnostic run comes up clean.

I have also uninstalled/re-installed several times.

It's more of an annoyance now than a real problem. I can open and close databases and work on them without any problem. It's when I exit Access itself that the error occurs - which is why I would settle for a fix that stops the error message coming up every time - especially as the 'Re-start' box on the erro message is sticky with no means (known to me) of switching it off be default.

Zak,

Running Office updates indicates that I am already at the latest level.
