Well I guess it’s my turn now. I have a VPN server which also acts our file server. For some reason, and all of a sudden(I think after the SPk3 install) when the server assignes itself the 1st ip of the RRAS dchp range, it thinks two systems with the same name are on the network so local clients are no longer to access files on the server. Apparently may problem is the same as the symptoms in Microsoft’s Knowledge Base Article-292822, except that I’m currently on SPk3. Apparently the 1st occurence (as dated by the event log) was just this month, but I’ve been on SPk3 since January(i think). Is there anyone out there who’s corrected the problem? Was registry editing actually necessary? and if so, did you already have SPk3 installed? Any and all help would be great.
