How can I calculate 2x2=4 and 4 become the value in that field.

Do you mean something like :
Range("F7").Select
ActiveCell.FormulaR1C1 = 4

?

If you just want the formula to display that result type "=2*2" without the quotation marks... if you want it multiply different cells you would just substitute the cell names (for example cell A1 and A2) you would type "=A1*A2"... hope that helps...

If you just want the value in the Cell do the following:

1. Enter the Formula in the cell: =2*2
2. Copy the Cell and Paste special and select the
Values Option.

If you want to keep formula and not allow the user to see the formula you have to use sheet protection.

1. Enter the Formula in the cell: =2*2
2. Select Format, Cells on the menu.
3. On the Protection tab Check Hidden.
4. Select Tools, Protection, Protect Sheet...
5. Protect the sheet.

The formula won't be visible to the user.
