Excel Bloat

I have an excel spreadsheet that gets “bloated” and is currently over 5M. It is a pretty basic spreadsheet and I have read articles and heard about this happening, but cannot remember how to reduce the file size back down to a more normal size. I have clear contents on all empty cells on all tabs and that doesn’t seem to help. Any ideas or resources to direct me to? Thank You.
