Excel column totalling

By LesleyK ·
When I have highlighted a long column and I choose to sum it so the total appears at the bottom of the column, once it has done the calculation it shoots you up to the top of the column. I want to know if there is a way of leaving the cursor at the end of the column, either on the total or near it.

Select the cell at the bottom of the column.
Click the "Σ" button on the Toolbar. This will AutoSum the column. If the range needs to edited you can do it before you hit the enter key.

The keyboard shortcut to go from the top of a selectionto the end is Ctrl+. (period)
