Excel Dates

using the countif function, i want to count all the dates in a range that are within the week. Please help!!!! Today()-7 will count 7 days before but i want to do from that week, i.e from Monday if its only Wednesday, not from last Wednesday. This will be used from week to week.

can anyone help?
