Employees of my company have been using Office 2007 from past 6 years and my company is slowly moving to Office 2010. I’m rolling out Office update to some of my employees. At present, my all employees are using different versions of Office 2003, 2007. Firstly, I have rolled out office update to the primary user. We are having a shared Excel file on our local network and many of the employees need to access it. The problem is that primary user with office 2010 is unable to open the shared Excel file and whenever he tried to open it, he is getting this error –
“The file may be corrupted, located on a server that is not responding, or read only”
Upon research I found that the Excel file has got corrupt when I updated the Office version.
Could anyone tell how can we open the shared excel file?
