Excel Formula needed!!

By Whatme? ·
Column B has student names in it.
Each month we enter in Cell C10 the number of possible days that student could be there in a month.
I need a formula to enter in column "AK" if there is a student entered in column "B"
Further down in the column B, there will be no students entered. I normally leave those cells blank.

Thank you
Merv

If you only want to check for an entry in "B", use =IF(B1<>"","Yes","No"). You can substitute other formulas to replace "Yes" and "No". If you are trying to find out if a particular student is in Column "B", let me know. That can be done as well.

IF(B10<>"",C10,"")
This variation of the formula says: If cell B10 is not blank, then display the value in C10, otherwise show nothing.
IF(Logical-Test,True-action,False-action)
