Excel Links

By mthawsh ·
I have inadvertently created links between excel spreadsheets. I know so because I'm asked if I want to update the links when the workbook is opened. I can't find these links to change them. Does anyone know how I can locate them? I have workbooks each with multiple pages and so far cell by cell searches haven't gotten me anywhere.

Thank You

First go to the Edit menu and choose Links. This will show you which workbooks you have links to.

Next, Go to the Tools menu and choose Options.

On the View tab, check "Formulas" in the Window options section. When you click OK, any cells that contain formulas will now show that formula instead of the result of the formula. You can now narrow down you search to those cells that only contain formulas and look for references to the other workbooks.
