Excel macro

By mckay_mark ·
I hoping someone can help me here. I need to set up a macro that will automatically save the working excel worksheet every few minutes. I have a document that a user works with throughout the day and another user needs access to it...through sharing. Is this possible?
Thanks!!

In Excel 7 and above (maybe also for lower versions) there is an Add-in that will do this for you. Go to Tools .. Add-ins and the tick the Autosave box. Another menu option will appear in The tools menu for Autosave. If you select this you will get a dialog box asking for the time interval.
If the add-in is not in the list that you can select then you will need to add it from the Installation disks

I guess I should have been clearer with my description. The autosave feature won't work for what I want because I want to be able to specify the name of the file it should be saved to. The autosave just creates randon names. Thanks for taking thetime to answer my question.

In Excel 7 there is a Shared Lists Option in the File Menu. The Help file says that this option will allow you to share the workbook with other users. I have not tried this, I hope that it will do what you want.
