Excel problem - corrupt tables

By gina.sallstrom ·
We have a problem that crops up: Excel tables that are embedded in Word files that become "corrupt."

We found a tip to open the document using "Open and Repair", but it only converts the corrupt Excel table to a picture vs. actually repairing it.
We need to open and revise data in the corrupt table and are forced to retype it, usually under a tight deadline. Do you have any solution?

Thank you!

The only answer I've found with this is to 'copy' the Excel table, and paste it into Excel again. Not the best answer, but it has worked in the past.
