SE |Amount | CJA | FSV
--------------------------
FSV | 1 | | 1
--------------------------
CJA | 2 | 2 |
--------------------------
FSV | 3 | | 3

Gurus,
Based on the above table if i input FSV with amount of 1, the amount 1 should be on the column of FSV, hence CJA with amount of 2 fall on CJA Column also and so on and so forth. Anybody have an idea on this?

Thanks in advance..

Have you tried the Sumif(range,criteria, sum_range) function? e.g.
Place teh sumif fucntion in relating the cell column to say FSV or CJA etc.

Sumif(enter range of array, criteria=cell reference FSV or CJA etc, sum_range = Array with Amounts)

Hope this helps:

===================
Assumptions:

A1 contains the header "SE"
B1 contains the header "Amount"
C1 contains the header "CJA"
D1 contains the header "FSV"

End Assumptions
===================

Now,
Type the following formula in C2:
=IF(A2="fsv",B2,"")

Type the following formula in D2:
=IF(A2="cja",B2,"")

Result:
If you type "FSV" in A2 and "2" in B2, then FSV column (C2)will show "2"
If you change A2 to "CJA", then FSV column (C2) will become blank and CJA column (D2) will show 2

All the best
