Excel question

By Borg7of9 ·
Is there a way to type text in one cell to have it replace many other cells with the same text?
I can not use find and replace because sometimes the orginal text is not typed exactly and sometimes I would be replacing certain cells and not other cells with the text.

For example if I type NAME in cell A: A1 I want to have the same word placed in A: A5, B: A7 etc...

use the = sign ie. A:A5 is the text you want. in cell B:a7 place =A:A5 and the text from that cell will be placed in the new cell, change A:A5 and all the other cells that have -A:A5 will change.
