Excel survey totals formula

Excel gurus:
I want to create a survey form to send to 20 people to rate several questions 1-5 and then have a comments field.
Problem 1: How do I keep a running total?
First thought was to email each user the Excel question sheet and have a spinner point to a seperate single network sheet. This works but the user can’t see what they have input, only the running total. Is there a way to push the users input to the network sheet and have it either dump to the next empty cell or add it to the running total and put the result in the same cell without circular probs?
Problem 2: How do I copy the comments input to the next available empty cell in the network sheet?
