Excel will not launch

By michaelpolanco_898 ·
Excel 97 files in Explorer or on desktop will not launch. Message reads in part:C:\cannot open 'path/filename'or one if it's components". Can't launch Excel attachments in Outlook 97 either. Message reads: Cannot find the file specified. I have re-imported the Office8.0 registry key, upgraded to Office2K & still has not resolved the problem. OS is NT 4.0

Try to clean up all corrupted registry files using Regclean tool. Download it from www.download.com (http://download.com.com/3000-2094-881470.html?tag=lst-0-1).

Then try to open the files again.
