Exch2K - CC: outgoing/incoming mail

By lmv826 ·
Help!

Requirement:
For each e-mail that a user sends/receives, the department manager gets a copy. For each e-mail that a manager gets, the director gets a copy as well...At the end, the Boss gets a copy of all e-mail incoming and outgoing.

Thanks!

Exch2K - CC: outgoing/incoming mail

You could just turn on Exchange Archiving. It's on the properties of the information store. This would archive everything to a single mailbox. The managers & boss could then be the ones which have access to this mailbox.

The other things to consider here though, are the legal ramifications of people reading everyone else's mail, and also the sheer volume of mails involved.

I'm not sure you'd get anything quite as granular as you're after without either event sinks, or a third party product such as KVault.

Thanks
Rob

Add user's mailbox to view in Outlook for all the bosses but contact HR for legal implications of the user's email being read by others. This is a very serious issue that could lead to all ending up in employment tribunal. It happens everyday!
