Exchagne 2000, mailbox partition?

I have and exchagne 2000 server that has been up and running. The program was installed on the system partition and did not leave much room for mailboxes and data. Can I move the folders over to another partition without reinstalling the program in order to insure space for growth on the system partition. Will it decrease performance?
