I have taken over patch management for my company and have been using SUS to deploy these patches over the past few weeks. Every time I authorize updates which include updates for 2000 since we are still using exchange 2000, remote users are no longer able to connect to the exchange server. They get the bubble that says outlook is trying to retrieve data from the exchange server. People on site here, have no problems. Its easy to think its a DNS problem, but they also access citrix and other apps from other servers here at the office, with no problem. Remote users can ping the server with no problem. The server gets rebooted in the evening, and then they are fine, until new updates are authorized.
2 remote offices are connected via T1 while the other is VPN.
Exchange is running on sp3 with all clients on xp sp2.
Any ideas??
