Exchange 2003

By mmikedo43 ·
I have recently taken over a network admin job from a young man who thought the company's servers were a play ground. He has put a pirate copy of exchange server 2003 on the main server. My question is does Microsoft have an amnesty program so I can make it legal with out the trouble of removing said program and starting over. I have tried to contact Microsoft but to no avail. Any help would be greatly recieved.

Microsoft has litle tolerance for pirates.

Have your company's purchasing agent purchase the appropriate number of licenses from your software sales vendor.

By contacing Microsoft, you've sent up a nice big flare so they could have you audited at any time under US law.

Just buy the license and change the product key that was originally installed from the pirated software. That is what Microsoft would use to determine its "illegal" status.

Here is how to change the product key that you get after you buy a legit license.
