    Where is the mail store actually located by default.

      By default, Information Stores are located in the Exchsrvr\Mdbdata folder.

      If your not sure where your mail store is you can try opening the Exchange System Manager > Servers > (Server Name) > First Storage Group > Right click Mailbox Store and select Properties > Click on the Database Tab and the first couple of lines should tell you.

      Thanks. I found some MS White Papers on how to move the DB files and folders to a larger drive.
