I have an Ms. Exchange 2000 server. I have tried on it but have no ideas why it cannot receive an external email. By using this Exchange Mail server, I have tried to send a mail to my hotmail account and cc a copy back to my Exchange account. Both the mail account can receive it. In return, when I used my hotmail account to send a mail to my Exchnag server and cc a copy to hotmail account, only the hotmail account receive the cc copy of an email. I did not receive any bounced back error mail from my hotmail account. One thing I am sure is, I did not set any filtering at my Exchange Server. In order for detail understanding my problems, I would like to explain a bit of my network environment. I have a ftp server with hold an Public and Private IP. My Exchange 2000 only hold a private IP, but I have set its gateway in order to be able to connect to Internet. We connect to the Internet through lease line.
Please help… why I can send out an email without any problems, but unable to receive in return??
