Exchange server 55 – new domain cntrller

We have purchased 2 machines which I am configuring with Windows 2000 advanced server, one of which will be the new Domain controller. Is there a way to make my existing Exchange 5.5 server work, on what to it appears to be a new domain and different administrator ID, even though I have used the same naming on the new Domain controller?
