Ok, here is the problem. My network has two domains. Gondor (which just holds the mail server, exchange 5.5) and Daeron which holds all the users and file servers. I want the mail server to be apart of the Daeron domain, and not the Gondor domain. I know I have to reload the mail server cause right now it is the PDC of the Gondor domain. I know I can make a backup of the mail server, and restore it to a temp box, then reload the mail server and have it act as the BDC inside of the Daeron domain. My question is that the site name of the server is Gondor. Does this matter, and will this cause problems because there will not be a Gondor domain?
