.exe’s

I have a.exe on my dekstop but I can’t delete and it comes up with the same old message that someone else is using it. I had a hurl.exe before and I managed to delete that by moving it into a file then deleting the file. But this one does not let me move it anywhere. So could anyone give me some help on how to get rid of it.
